Easter - Definitions
nThough we use the term (or name) “Easter” to refer to Jesus’ death and resurrection
n“Easter” is clearly not
connected with any sort of
Hebrew or Christian origins.
nThe term is derived from
the name of an ancient
pagan goddess (Eostre, Ostara, Ishtar)
and has no relation whatsoever to the
events surrounding Jesus' death.
